The History of Art programme will take place in King’s College

The Language and Linguistics programme will take place in New

Literature in a World Context Programme
The Literature in a World Context programme will take place in

Management Studies &
Entrepreneurship Programme
The Management Studies & Entrepreneurship programme will
take place in King’s College Conference Centre (map ref 11) at 1300.

Centre at 1245.
Modern Languages Programme
The Modern Languages programme (including Celtic, French,
German and Hispanic Studies) will take place in King’s College
KCG8 (map ref 11) at 1145. Student Ambassadors will leave the
Modern Languages information stands in Elphinstone Hall (map
ref 30) for King’s College KCG8 at 1130.
Music Programme
The Music programme will take place in the Percussion Annexe,
MacRobert Building (map ref 24) at 1030 and 1200. Visitors will
have the opportunity for a hands-on gamelan experience.
Student Ambassadors will leave the Music information stand
in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for the MacRobert Building
Percussion Annexe at 1015 and at 1145.

Presentations on the BMus and MA Music Studies Degree will be
held at 1115 and 1245 in the Multimedia Room KQG3 (map ref 11).
Student Ambassadors will leave the Music information stand
in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for the Multimedia Room KQG3 at
1100 and 1230.
Tours of the Music Department will leave from the main reception
in MacRobert Building at 0930, 1000, 1400 and 1430.
Philosophy Programme
The Philosophy programme will take place in New Kings 10 (map
ref 10) at 1315. Student Ambassadors will leave the Philosophy
information stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for New Kings
10 at 1300.
Politics & International Relations Programme
The Politics & International Relations programme will take place
in King’s College Conference Centre (map ref 11) at 1100 and in
the MacRobert Building Room 063 (map ref 24) at 1330. Student
Ambassadors will leave the Politics & International Relations
information stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for King’s
College Conference Centre at 1045 and for MacRobert Building
Room 063 at 1315.
Real Estate Programme
The Real Estate programme will take place in King’s College
KCG8 (map ref 11) at 1415. Student Ambassadors will leave the
Real Estate information stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30)
for King’s College KCG8 at 1400.

The Religious Studies programme will take place in New Kings
10 (map ref 10) at 1400. Student Ambassadors will leave the

Scandinavian Studies Programme
The Scandinavian Studies programme will take place in King’s
College KCG7 (map ref 11) at 0930. Student Ambassadors will leave

Sociology Programme
The Sociology programme will take place in King’s College KCF7

Archaeology Programme
The Archaeology programme will take place in Meston 1 (map ref 7)
at 1130. Student Ambassadors will leave the Archaeology information
stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for the Meston 1 at 1115.
Biological Sciences Programme
The Biological Sciences programme includes information on Animal
Ecology, Biology, Conservation Biology, Ecology, Environmental
Science, Forestry, Forest Science, Marine Biology, Plant & Soil Science,
Wildlife Management and Zoology. It will take place in the Zoology
Building (map ref 1) from 0930, with presentations at 1030 and 1230.
Student Ambassadors will leave the Biological Sciences information
stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for the Zoology Building at
0915, 1015, 1115 and 1215.
Chemistry Programme
The Chemistry programme will take place in the Meston Exhibition
Area (map ref 7) from 0945 with presentations at 1000, 1100, 1200 and
1300. The programme will take an hour and will include interactive
laboratory sessions throughout the day. Student Ambassadors will
leave the Chemistry information stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref
30) for the Meston Exhibition Area at 0945, 1045, 1145 and 1245.
Computing Science Programme
The Computing Science programme will take place in Meston 2
(map ref 7) at 1100 and 1300. The programme will include interactive
laboratory sessions throughout the day. Student Ambassadors will
leave the Computing Science information stand in Elphinstone Hall
(map ref 30) for Meston 2 at 1045 and 1245.
Engineering Programme
The Engineering programme will take place in Fraser Noble 1
(map ref 5) at 1030 and 1230. The programme will include a
presentation followed by a tour of the department and will take
approximately an hour and a half. Student Ambassadors will leave
the Engineering information stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30)
for the Fraser Noble Building at 1015 and 1215.
Geography Programme
The Geography programme will take place in St Mary’s Room
105 (map ref 4) at 1100 and 1400. There will be short talks about
study opportunities in Geography followed by the chance to chat
with teaching staff and take a quick look around the department.
Student Ambassadors will leave the Geography information stand
in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for St Mary’s at 1045 and 1345.
Geology Programme
The Geology programme (including courses in Petroleum
Geology) will take place in Meston 1 (map ref 7) from 0930 with
a presentation at 1015. The programme will include interactive
laboratory sessions throughout the day. Student Ambassadors
will leave the Geology information stand in Elphinstone Hall
(map ref 30) for Meston 1 at 0915, 1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300.
Marine & Coastal Resource
Management Programme
The Marine & Coastal Resource Management programme will take
place in St Mary’s Room B22 (map ref 4) at 1330. Student Ambassadors
will leave the Marine & Coastal Resource Management information
stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for St Mary’s at 1315.
Mathematical Sciences Programme
The Mathematical Sciences programme will take place in Fraser
Noble 156 (map ref 5) at 0930 and 1100. Student Ambassadors will
leave the Mathematical Sciences information stand in Elphinstone
Hall (map ref 30) for Fraser Noble 156 at 0915 and 1045.

Medical Sciences Programme
The School of Medical Sciences programme – including courses
in Anatomy, Applied Sports Science-Education (Primary),
Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Developmental
Biology, Genetics, Human Embryology & Developmental Biology,
Immunology, Immunology & Pharmacology, Microbiology,
Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Physiology, Sport
& Exercise Science and Sports Studies (Exercise & Health) - will
take place in the Zoology Building (map ref 1) from 1000. Student
Ambassadors will leave the School of Medical Sciences information
stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for the Zoology Building at
1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300.
Medicine Information Stand
The Medicine information stand is located in Elphinstone Hall (map
ref 30). Full information on the Medicine programme can be found
on page 23.
Physics Programme
The Physics programme will take place in New Kings 1 (map
ref 10) at 1100 and in King’s College KCF8 (map ref 11) at 1400.
The programme will take an hour and a half and will include a
tour of the laboratories. Student Ambassadors will leave the
Physics information stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30) for
New Kings 1 at 1045 and for King’s College KCF8 at 1345.
Psychology Programme
The Psychology programme will take place in New Kings 6 (map
ref 10) at 1015 and 1315. Student Ambassadors will leave the
Psychology information stand in Elphinstone Hall (map ref 30)
for New Kings 6 at 1000 and 1300.


Degrees in
Medicine
Medicine is mainly taught at the
Foresterhill campus, one of the
largest clinical campuses in Europe.
Students gain hands-on experience
of working with patients from
first year.

Medicine Programme
The Medicine programme will start at 1000 and will be
located in the Arts Lecture Theatre, on the King’s College
Campus (map ref 25). All those interested in Medicine
must attend and register between 0915 and 0950.
A timetable of events will be provided for prospective
students and separate activities will be available for
parents/career advisors.
The student programme will include information on the
medical curriculum, admissions process and talks from
clinicians on their own specialities.
You will also have the chance to take part in interactive
sessions in the Clinical Skills Centre. Numbers for these
sessions are restricted due to space constraints so
advanced booking is therefore essential. Parents will be
offered opportunities to be involved in the King’s College
Campus activities, tours of clinical skills facilities at
Foresterhill, and discussions with Medical Admissions tutors.
The activities for all delegates will commence at the King’s
College Campus. Prospective students will then be taken to
the Foresterhill (Medical) Campus by bus for the interactive
sessions and career talks in the Clinical Skills Centre.
A separate shuttle bus will be available to
transport parents/advisors to Foresterhill.
Places will be restricted due to
space constraints.
It is essential that all visitors
register at the Arts Lecture
Theatre (map ref 25) between
0915 and 0950.
